What's good against ground Pokemon?

Battling against ground Pokemon can be dangerous if you're not prepared! They have a lot of powerful attacks at their disposal and many have useful secondary typing that provide great offensive and defensive synergy.

Ground type Pokemon generally rank very high in hit points, attack and defense. We suggest using special-attack-based moves against most ground type Pokemon.

Ground type Pokemon are weak to:

Use attacks of these types to deal double damage against ground types. It's super effective!

Flying type Pokemon are immune to ground type attacks:

Use a flying type Pokemon to take zero damage from ground type attacks.

These types resist ground type attacks:

Use Pokemon of these types to take half damage from an opponent's ground type attacks. It's not very effective.

Great Pokemon to use against ground types:

These Pokemon learn super effective attacks or have useful resistances (or both!)
